On October 13, 2026, Oriental Consultants Global, jointly with Consultancy and Construction Limited Company of the University of Transport and Communications, signed a contract for the “Consulting Services for Review of the Feasibility Study Report and Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) for the Ho Chi Minh City Urban Railway Line 4 (Dong Thanh – Hiep Phuoc) Project.”

The project is an urban railway project undertaken by SOVICO GROUP JOINT STOCK COMPANY, a private Vietnamese company, as the project owner. As the lead firm, OC Global will be responsible for the technical review of the feasibility study report and the FEED. The review is scheduled to take approximately six months, starting in October 2026.

Ho Chi Minh City Urban Railway Line 4 (Dong Thanh – Hiep Phuoc) is a key urban railway line running north–south through the city, with a planned length of approximately 45.0 km. Depending on the final route, the underground section is expected to be approximately 20.7 km and the elevated section approximately 24.3 km. The line will run underground in the city center and around Tan Son Nhat International Airport, and is planned to connect the city’s northern gateway with the Hiep Phuoc port and logistics hub in the south.

In recent years, Vietnam has increasingly been advancing transport infrastructure development by drawing on domestic funds and private investment in addition to financing through official development assistance (ODA). Against this backdrop, this contract is OC Global’s second consulting contract for a non-ODA urban railway project in Vietnam.
