Daily News reported on a post from the Thai railway department’s public relations team.

They were effusive in praising plans for a 5.2 kilometer long tunnel that is being constructed in Saraburi as part of a new dual track railway.

The section of tunnel – one of three tunnels on the route but the longest – will be between Mapkabao and the Jira Road Junction.

The PR team hailed this as a new era in passenger comfort and cargo transport for both the state and private sector.
