Starwood to unveil St. Regis Bangkok in 2011

Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide will unveil the 227-room St. Regis Bangkok, designed by Brennan Beer Gorman (BBG) Architects by early 2011, featuring the first Elemis Spa in Thailand.

The new starwood property developed by Minor International PLC marks the first St. Regis hotel in Thailand and the Indochina region. To be opened on 1 April 2011, the hotel occupies 12 to 24 levels of a 47-storey building.

BBG provided architectural design services for this five-star luxury hotel. All the rooms in the hotel are elegantly designed by blending ornate artistry with dramatic contemporary décor. The property is said to the first hotel in Bangkok to introduce the signature St. Regis butler service to all guests who stay in the hotel, as well as the first Elemis Spa by renowned British spa and skincare brand Elemis in Thailand.

The Elemis Spa is conceived as a mystical sanctuary for guests offering a sophisticated spa environment. It offers a unique range of therapies, attentive individual service and signature products.

The hotel will feature well-appointed exercise room, appealing outdoor swimming pool and contemporary poolside café. State-of-the-art business centre, premier meeting technology and function venues are some other features of the hotel. The property has 1,356 square meters of event space, and seven function rooms equipped with the latest technology. The lavishly appointed accommodations feature floor-to-ceiling windows providing unobstructed views of the city skyline and the greenery of the local parks and golf course. Signature suites ranging from 44 square metres to 300 square metres are designed to be suitable for extended stays. These suites also feature an appointed pantry.

Dining venues at the hotel are ‘Viu’, located on the 12th floor next to the Sky Lounge, offering spectacular views over the Royal Bangkok Sports Club and Bangkok skyline; and ‘JoJo’ featuring modern environ. ‘Decanter’ is a wine lounge featuring an extensive wine cellar. Infinity Pool Bar is designed as an oasis of serenity where guests can savour cuisine and refreshments from a hand-crafted menu in an alfresco setting which offers panoramic views of the city skyline.
