Pöyry awarded owner’s engineering services contract for new gas-fired combined cycle cogeneration power plant in Thailand

Pöyry has been awarded an owner’s engineering services contract for a new gas-fired combined cycle cogeneration plant in Thailand by Amata B.Grimm Power 3 Limited. The value of the assignment is about EUR 2.2 million.

The client is currently developing a gas-fired combined cycle cogeneration power plant having an output of 130 MW, to sell electricity to the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) under the Small Power Producer scheme, and electricity and process steam to industrial customers in the Amata Nakorn Industrial Estate in Cholburi Province. The project will consist of two gas turbine generator packages with inlet air cooling system, two heat recovery steam generators and one extraction-condensing steam turbine generator, along with a full set of balance of plant and interconnection equipment and systems.

Pöyry will perform the owner’s engineering services comprising project management and engineering design review including EPC contract administration and time schedule control, and site supervision services including monitoring of construction, erection, commissioning and testing activities. The duration of the owner’s engineering services is 26 months.
