BMA looks for plot to build depot of airport light-rail system

The city is looking for a place to build a maintenance depot for a 18-kilometre light-rail link to Suvarnabhumi Airport.

“The landowner may offer to sell, lease or enter into a joint venture,” Deputy Bangkok Governor Thirachon Manomaipiboon said Wednesday.

The land must be located on the first 15km stretch of Bang Na-Trat Road or on the road leading to the southern entrance of the airport.

Interested landowners must submit copies of their title deed to the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration’s Traffic and Transportation Department from July 19-20.

The light-rail system will connect the Skytrain’s On Nut Station to Suvarnabhumi via Bang Na-Trat Road.
