Nexif forges partnership with Ratch Group for Vietnam’s 80MW Nexif Energy Ben Tre wind project

Ratch Group has joined the Ben Tre near-shore project which began construction last month

Australian power company Nexif Energy has formed an equal partnership with Ratch Group for the construction and operation of the 80MW Nexif Energy Ben Tre wind project in Vietnam.

The Ben Tre wind project is being developed at a near-shore site in Thanh Hai commune, Thanh Phu district of Ben Tre Province, about 160 km south-east of Ho Chi Minh City.

The entire output from the wind farm will be sold to Vietnam Electricity Corporation (EVN) under a 20-year power purchase agreement.
The project will host 19 Goldwind 155-4.5MW turbines.

Permits and interconnection agreements for the project have been secured and construction activity began on 15 May with a construction schedule of 19 months to commercial operations.

SEPCOIII, a global engineering and construction company specialising in the construction of renewable, thermal, nuclear and seawater desalination projects, has been selected as the engineering, procurement and construction contractor and will also provide operations and maintenance services.

Nexif founder Surender Singh said: “Nexif Energy is pleased to be making rapid progress on the Ben Tre wind project and extending its ongoing relationship with Ratch Group.

“We share with Ratch a common vision to bring world leading technology solutions to address the challenges of the energy transition.”
