Construction of nine bridges in Cambodia’s Kampong Cham to be finished early next year

Residents of one of the districts in Kampong Chan expressed their excitement over the near completion of nine bridges which would increase ease of travel.

Srey Santhor district governor Sim Kong said earlier this week that the bridges were located in Prek Dambok, Svay Khsach Phnom, Russey Srok and Prek Romdeng communes. The bridges would connect 16 kilometres of riverside road.

According to the district governor, construction of the bridges has reached 80 percent and if there are no obstacles, the nine bridges would be completed by early 2023.
Construction of the bridges were funded by Prime Minister Hun Sen.

Provinces in the Kingdom has seen more and more road infrastructure development, as the country aims to develop more of the rural regions to support livelihood of residents in the area.
