Vestas commissions all 36 turbines at three wind farms in Quang Tri province of Vietnam

Denmark’s Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CPH:VWS) has installed and commissioned all 36 turbines at three wind farms in Quang Tri province of Vietnam, it announced on its Facebook account on Friday.

The turbine maker was under contract to supply, install and commission its V150-4.2 MW machines, delivered in 4.0 MW operating mode, for the Lien Lap, Phong Huy and Phong Nguyen wind projects. The 144-MW trio is owned by a partnership between Vietnam-based Power Construction Joint Stock Company No. 1 (PCC1) and Japanese renewable power producer Renova Inc (TYO:9519).

In May 2020, Renova announced it took a 40% stake in the Quang Tri portfolio with PPC1 participating with 60%. The wind farms are supported by a feed-in-tariff of USD 0.085 (EUR 0.078) per kWh, Renova said at the time.

Vestas’ contract with the customers includes a ten-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreement.
