The presentation will include:- 

Approach to civil engineering insurance programmes. 

Examples of losses and how the insurance market responds. 

Who is taking the risk – Thai or international markets. 

Asia versus Rest of World – how do practices differ.

Stephen has in excess of 29 years insurance broking experience, 23 of which have been spent specializing in providing insurance and risk solutions for the construction industry. Stephen currently heads up JLT’s construction team in Asia and is a member of the JLT Global Construction practice. He is based in Hong Kong and maintains responsibility for major construction projects and clients in Asia and Asian interests abroad plus JLT’s 45 dedicated construction specialists. Throughout his career Stephen has worked for Jardine Lloyd Thompson in Australia, London and Hong Kong. Recent project experience in Asia includes: 

Hong Kong Airport Authority, Three Runway System project (USD 18bn) 

Klang Valley MRT, Lines 1 & 2, Malaysia (USD 15bn) 

Shatin to Central Link, Hong Kong (HKD 8bn) 

Jakarta MRT, Line 1 (USD 800m) 

Ho Chi Minh Metro, Line 1

Entry fee is Baht 200 for Members of SPET and Baht 400 for all others.

The next SPET event is scheduled on 21st July 2016, but is yet to be consolidated. Further news to follow.
