They say elephants never forget – and neither do the readers of Condé Nast Traveler. For the third consecutive year, the magazine’s readers have selected Four Seasons Tented Camp Golden Triangle, Thailand as the Number One Property in the World. The Tented Camp received a perfect score of 100 points in Condé Nast Traveler’s 23rd Annual Readers’ Choice Awards for 2010, with 25,916 readers voting this year.

The opening of Four Seasons Tented Camp Golden Triangle in January 2006 marked the company’s first all-inclusive jungle experience and its third property in Thailand.  Located near the northern city of Chiang Rai and nestled in the heart of the Golden Triangle, the exclusive property caters to a maximum of 30 guests, is accessible only by riverboat, and offers guests the opportunity to interact with Asian elephants.

“It’s a true honour to have won such a prestigious award three years in a row, and we are deeply grateful to the readers of Condé Nast Traveler for the confidence they have shown the Tented Camp and the Four Seasons brand,” says Rainer Stampfer, regional vice president and general manager, Four Seasons Hotels Thailand. “It is especially gratifying for the team at the Camp, and for me personally, that our dedication to service, combined with the unique setting and experience of Four Seasons Tented Camp Golden Triangle, has been recognised by the world’s most sophisticated travellers. We will continue to endeavour to create unforgettable experiences for our guests at the Camp as we aim to live up to the high expectations that this award bestows upon us.”

“The big news is that our readers’ appetite for travel has proven to be undeterred and indestructible, and their standards are more exacting than ever,” said Condé Nast Traveler Editor in Chief Klara Glowczewska in a release.   “They are an army of trusted judges, and their votes and evaluations have rendered a Readers’ Choice Award one of the highest encomiums in the entire travel industry.” The complete results of the awards can be found in the November issue of Condé Nast Traveler, or on the magazine’s website.
