Design Village, Cambodia’s new home-living retail destination mall opens in Phnom Penh

Design Village, Cambodia’s new home-living retail destination, is to open its doors to the public this week under a partnership between CBRE and local firm SCG-Boonthavorn.

A Thai-originating concept, Design Village, is scheduled to open on Thursday (September 9) in Sen Sok District, marking the first of its kind destination in Cambodia, offering home-related interior, decorative, and exterior solutions.

Design Village is home to boutique product offerings from many global brands, including Grohe, Inax, Cotto, American Standard and Porcelanosa. Some of the new-to-market brands include Dream Town by Lunio, Camping Outlet, Wilsonart Laminate, Formica and W&D.

“It’s a culmination of many years of planning and partnerships which has allowed us to bring our vision to reality,” said Ronnayut Manasatian, MD of SCG-Boonthavorn Cambodia. “Design Village will allow the people of Phnom Penh to more easily find the inspiration, expertise and quality products needed to make their homes truly unique and special.”

Spanning 12,000sqm, Design Village retail space is divided into different sections – a kitchen studio, tile gallery, bath showroom, lifestyle furniture, DIY section, lighting, customer service counter, and a free-to-use co-working space.

The mall also houses several F&B outlets such as Hiko Teppanyaki, Amazon Cafe, ChiCha San Chen, and Dim Sum Emperors.

“Design Village is a unique project in Phnom Penh,” said James Hodge, MD of CBRE Cambodia. “CBRE has worked hand in hand with Design Village and their retail partners to realise the vision for the project.”
