Chonburi temple glass skywalk – New “landmark” opens to the public

What has been described as a landmark for the province of Chonburi on Thailand’s eastern seaboard has opened.

It is the 50 meter long glass skywalk, part of a 226 meter walkway 25 meters above the ground between a hill and a Buddhist monument on 15 rai of land at the temple of Wat Khao Tabaek in Si Racha district.

77kaoded said there were lots of tourists on the first day of opening on Saturday.

The abbot said it was perfectly safe. The glass is 50mm thick and each square meter can take a weight of 1,200 kilograms.

A limit of 100 people a time can go on it for 30 minutes.
