Bangkok development ‘The Forestias’ sales jump to six billion baht

Magnolia Quality Development Corporation (MQDC), one of Thailand’s leading property developers, has announced that The Forestias, the world’s first town purposefully designed for healthier living, registered new sales of 2,000 million baht in the last three months, and that total sales now exceed 6,000 million baht across the multiple residential projects within the development.

The Forestias is a new, global prototype for a town development that focuses on promoting the health of residents within a community. It is also Thailand’s largest property development project. Located on Bang Na-Trad Road km 7 and stretching across 398 rai (64 hectare), it includes multiple residential components with villas and condominiums aimed at a diverse range of lifestyles and family sizes.

There is also commercial space for offices, retail and food and beverage outlets, a sports complex, family entertainment facilities in a Family Centre, a theatre, an event hall, multiple markets and a town centre for community activities and cultural pursuits. Plus an extraordinary 30 rai (4.8 hectare) forest at the centre of the development.

“Our ultimate purpose is to help residents live a happy life within an orderly community,” commented Mr. Kittiphun Ouiyamaphun, Project Director – The Forestias, MQDC. “We know that one of the most important factors promoting happy living is good health and proximity to members of one’s family across multiple generations. That’s why we assembled an unrivalled team of international experts and organisations to design The Forestias as a prototype for what a great community could be like.”

“In the last few months, The Forestias has seen a surge in sales across many of its residential brands, with almost 300 condominiums and villas sold. The COVID-19 pandemic has made people particularly conscious about community and residential design that promotes healthy living and hygiene, whether that be through proximity to nature and the integration of nature into the living environment, or the way fresh air and light is managed in residences, and the layout and choice of materials used.”

“I also believe visitors are excited when they come to the site and see the rapid progress of construction. This helps them make a decision to buy. We have completed piling at two of the residential components – Whizdom Condominiums and The Aspen Tree Residences – and started piling at Mulberry Grove Condominiums, Mulberry Grove Villas, Six Senses Residences, and the commercial zone. Moreover, we have completed construction of bridges, walkways, and most of the infrastructure, utilities and tunneling work.”

“We have also completed construction of the 1.6-kilometre elevated walkway that weaves above the forest canopy, linking the various components of the The Forestias community.”

According to Mr. Kittiphun, “Another factor boosting sales is the knowledge that the fast-growing ‘Eastern Economic Corridor’, on which The Forestias is located, is now progressing at national level with certainty which helps assure buyers that their purchase will be a very good investment, too.”
