Vietnam PM wants Lao Cai-Hanoi-Hai Phong railway project to begin in December 2025
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on Sunday asked the Ministry of Construction to develop a feasibility study for starting the Lao Cai–Hanoi–Hai Phong railway project on December 19.
The Prime Minister was speaking while chairing a meeting in Hanoi to push implementation of the North-South high-speed railway project and the Lao Cai-Hanoi-Hai Phong railway line. He urged the Ministry of Construction to coordinate with the Ministry of Science and Technology to finalize the project’s standards and regulations by next month. The Ministry of Agriculture and Environment was asked to work on land, forest, and environmental issues for the project.
The Prime Minister said capital for the project is being arranged, including public investment and loans.
