US electrical equipment firm enters Myanmar market

Construction News Myanmar

As large-scale construction projects ramp up across the country, trading company Inginn Nwe has partnered with US firm Erico to bring niche electrical and mechanical equipment to the Myanmar market.

Inginn Nwe Company, which also distributes French brand Schneider Electric, signed a contract in August 2015 with Erico to become its sole distributor and is now selling materials for lightning protection, surge protection, grounding and bonding, as well as exothermic welding materials, said business development manager U Aye Myin Htun.

“The materials are used in big construction projects and are not yet popular in Myanmar, but as more companies start developing skyscrapers, particularly in Yangon, they will increase in popularity,” he said.

“We are like pioneers, launching these materials into the Myanmar market. But later these materials will be used in many high-rise projects.”
