Salcon wins construction jobs in Thailand

Salcon Bhd’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Salcon Engineering Bhd, through its joint venture company Hydrotek-Salcon Consortium, has been awarded construction works worth RM21.991 million in Thailand.

The award is from the Metropolitan Waterworks Authority (MWA) for the construction of reservoirs for Phet Kasem and Rat Burana distribution pumping stations and related works in Bangkok.

“The Eighth Bangkok Water Supply Improvement Project is funded by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

“It is valued at 215,739,124 Thai bahts or approximately RM21,991,800 and is expected to be completed within a period of two years,” Salcon said in a statement, today.

The scope of the contract includes the construction of reservoirs at Phet Kasem distribution pumping station of 40,000 cubic metre and Rat Burana distribution pumping station of 10,000 cubic metre and other related works.
