Indian Infrastructure company Kec International today said it has won contracts worth Rs 1,224 crore, including Rs 216 crore international orders.
“Kec InternationalLtd (KEC)…, an RPG Group company has secured new orders of Rs 1,224 crore,” the company said in a statement.
In transmission and distribution business it won Rs 589 crore domestic orders that include orders of Rs 562 crore from Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation under Green Energy Corridors.
In transmission business it had secured international orders of Rs 216 crore that include a turnkey order of Rs 173 crore from Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand for construction of 500 kV transmission line on Thai/Laos border and Rs 43 crore contract from Power Grid Company of Bangladeshfor for construction of 132kV transmission lines.
Its Railways business won Rs 248 crore orders, while its Cables business received Rs 171 crore order.
Vimal Kejriwal, MD and CEO of Kec International said, “In the transmission and distribution arena, the order win in Thailand is a significant step in our pursuit to diversify our geographic spread into the ASEAN region.”
The shares of the company closed at Rs 135.20 on BSE, down 0.66 per cent from the previous close.
