ITD-NWR Joint Venture signs contract for Track Doubling Project with State Railway of Thailand, Den Chai-Chiang Rai-Chiang Khong C1 (Den Chai-Ngao Section)
The ITD-NWR Joint Venture has signed a contract for the Track Doubling Project, Den Chai-Chiang Rai-Chiang Khong C1 (Den Chai-Ngao Section) with State Railway of Thailand. Signing for the ITD-NWR Joint Venture were Mr. Thoranis Karnasuta acting President of Italian-Thai Development Corporation (ITD) and Mr. Polpat Karnasuta, CEO of Nawarat Patanakarn PCL and signing for the SRT, Mr. Nirut Maneephan, the Governor of the State Railway of Thailand.
The project is the construction of a new railway about 103 kilometers long.
The railway structure comprises ground-level and elevated railway running track.
The work includes the construction of a ground-level railway station and stop sign, 1-meter gauge track system, railway tunnel construction and tunnel system works related to civil construction works for the project.
The project is valued 25,560 million baht with a scheduled construction period of 2,160 days.
