FS International and its local company FS Italian Railways Thailand Ltd., along with sponsor FS Group, participated in the Asia Pacific Rail 2021 fair – the virtual conference dedicated to the future of the railway sector within the area.

The event was held online on 15 and 16 September 2021 and saw numerous players taking part, attracting an increasing number of operators, suppliers, consultants, regulators and other stakeholders from the railway sector, in an area with great potential and development projects planned throughout the Asia-Pacific currently estimated at over $1,350 billion USD for 79,000 km of railway.

Throughout the two days of the event, some of the latest innovations and best practices in the sector were explored through a range of webinars. In particular, the webinar held on 16 September saw the participation of FS Italian Railways Thailand, a fully-owned subsidiary of FS International, as part of the panel “Developing a Preventative Maintenance Regime”.

“The railway industry has grown dramatically in the last decade, with the aim of developing systems and applications mainly based on improving processes in an increasingly challenging scenario, through innovative solutions in the field of diagnostics and maintenance (preventive/predictive),” stated Nino Cingolani, Sole Director of FS Thai, during his speech in the panel focused on predictive maintenance. “As an industry, we continue to build more and more infrastructure and every asset created requires inspections and maintenance. We have witnessed a real transformation with the introduction of digital tools and new technologies. This will be the future.”

FS Italian Railways Thailand and FS International SpA already export Made in Italy excellence and FS Group know-how to the area. Indeed, FS Thai operates in Asia thanks to the High-Speed Linking Three Airports project, which will see the first official start of the service by the end of 2021.
