EGAT Promotes Clean Energy With Mae Moh Solar Farm Project In Thailand’s Lampang Province
EGAT announced the sale of bidding documents for the Mae Moh Solar Farm Project in Lampahttps://goo.gl/maps/cCFRb5NCJkvsvb1Z7ng Province to promote clean energy use in the operation of EGAT Mae Moh Mine, driving Thailand toward Carbon Neutrality.
Mr. Thidade Eiamsai, Deputy Governor – Power Plant Development and Renewable Energy of the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) revealed that EGAT has sold bidding documents for Mae Moh Solar Farm Project, Phase 1 with a generating capacity of 38.5 MW from May 16-31, 2023, and the bid opening date is scheduled to be at the end of June 2023. The project which will generate electricity for the mining operation of EGAT Mae Moh will help reduce the electricity consumption of the Mae Moh Power Plant during the day. Moreover, it plays a part in driving Thailand toward Carbon Neutrality by 2050 and Net Zero Emissions by 2065.
The Mae Moh Solar Farm Project is located in Mae Moh Sub-district, Mae Moh District, Lampang Province. The project site covers an area of 490 rai (193.73 acres). When the construction is complete, it will be connected to the 22 kV grid system of Mae Moh Mine. The operation date is scheduled to be in 2024.
