Cambodia’s Stung Trang-Krouch Chhmar bridge officially inaugurated

Stung Trang-Krouch Chhmar bridge which links Kampong cham and Tboung Kmum provinces was officially inaugurated today (23.11.2021).

The bridge could help facilitate people’s travel and businesses, said Public works minister Sun Chanthol.

Chanthol said that the construction of the bridge began on February 9, 2018, and took 42 months to finish. It cost approximately $60 million.

“The bridge is really helpful for the residents,” he said, adding that people should follow the traffic law and do not overload their trucks with goods to prevent bridge damages.

The ceremony also announced the groundbreaking for the construction of road 71c which cost about $130 million.
