Blue Circle completes 40MW Mui Ne wind farm in Binh Thuan province of southern Vietnam

The Blue Circle and its partner ACEN have completed the 40MW Mui Ne wind farm in Vietnam.

It completed the second phase of the project. The wind farm is located in Binh Thuan province in southern Vietnam.

The Mui Ne project has a total expansion potential of up to 170MW. It has been informed that the project features eight 5MW turbines with rotor diameters of 158 metres.

According to the company, construction was completed after eight months.

It has been informed that the Blue Circle will manage operations through an asset management services contract.

The Blue Circle chief executive Olivier Duguet commented, “We are very pleased to have been able to build, connect and reach commercial operations of this second phase of our Mui Ne site.”

CEN international group head Patrice Clausse remarked, “We are delighted by the completion of phase 2 of the Mui Ne Project, and the overall progress made in expanding our renewables presence in Vietnam.”

He further said that the company is encouraged that partnerships across Vietnam will bring to fruition more renewable energy projects in the country.
