Bina Puri gets RM38.2m foreign jobs

Bina Puri Holdings Bhd has secured a contract from Huatten Projects (Thailand) Ltd to undertake a THB$175 million (RM18.28 million) building contract.

Bina Puri (Thailand) Ltd and Dimara (Thailand) Ltd Joint Venture would embark on a project to build a warehouse and ancillary facility at Ladkrabang Industrial Estate in Bangkok, Thailand, the company said in a filing to Bursa Malaysia today.

The contract will have a seven months construction period and is expected to contribute positively to the group”s earnings for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2011.

Meanwhile in Saudi Arabia, Bina Puri Saudi Co Ltd has secured a stormwater pipeline project from the City Council of Northern Border (Turaif) for SAR23.99 million (RM19.91 million).

The contract is expected to be completed in 540 days.

The group’s current book order stands at RM3.16 billion and it has secured new projects worth RM2.46 billion this year.
