Ascott to open Somerset-branded Somerset Rama 9 Bangkok serviced apartments in Bangkok

The Ascott Limited will open a new 445-unit serviced apartment property in Bangkok, Thailand.

The company said Somerset Rama 9 Bangkok is “opening soon” in Ratchadapisek-Rama 9, the new Central Business District of Bangkok. It will also be within walking distance from several shopping malls, office buildings that house the Stock Exchange of Thailand and “various” multinational companies, and entertainment amenities, Ascott added.

The Somerset-branded property, which Ascott said is one of its largest serviced residences in Thailand, is also 450 metres away from the Phra Ram 9 MRT station according to the company.

“Our accommodations are designed to suit expatriates, business executives on both short or long-term assignments and travellers on holiday,” reads a statement from Ascott.

Somerset Rama 9 Bangkok offers 445 apartment units, which are divided into five room types: the 33-sqm deluxe room, the 42-sqm studio executive rooms, one-bedroom executive rooms with sizes that range between 45 to 57 sqm, the 57-sqm one-bedroom premier rooms, and the 90-sqm two-bedroom premier rooms.

The rooms come with a fully-equipped kitchen (in select residences), separate living and dining area, home entertainment system and “other modern amenities”.

Some of the other residence features and amenities include an ensuite bathroom with a standing shower, complimentary WiFi access, air-conditioning with individually controlled thermostats, an in-room electronic safe, and more.

Guests will also have access to a swimming pool, splash bar, executive lounge, steam, sauna, children’s playroom, gymnasium, sky garden, as well as a selection of restaurants and conference rooms.

The new property also includes a number of work-friendly facilities such as business centre services, courier services, secretarial services, conference and meeting rooms, broadband internet access and audio visual equipment. Charges may apply for some of these facilities.

Other facilities include a 24-hour reception, housekeeping services, daily breakfast, doctor-on-call, meal delivery services and more. Charges may apply for some of these facilities.

There is also 24-hour security and CCTV surveillance for guest rooms, as well as as key card access.
