AccorHotels to expand in South Thailand

AccorHotels’ opened its, Novotel Samui Resort Chaweng Beach Kandaburi, earlier this month, as the group plans expansion at more Thai beach resorts.

The first Novotel on Samui island, the property is located on Chaweng Beach, a five-minute transfer by local bus to the bay’s shopping and nightlife strip and a 10- minute transfer from Samui International Airport.

Despite the close proximity to the bay’s shopping and heavy-duty nightlife scene, the property is described as “quiet”.

The regional COO talked about AccorHotels’ commitment to development in southern Thailand. In 2016 alone, AccorHotels is scheduled to open five additional hotels at southern beach resorts.

Novotel Samui Resort Chaweng Beach Kandaburi features 183 beachfront and garden rooms, including 20 family rooms equipped with double and bunk beds.

It has three restaurants and a beach bar, a fitness centre, two pools and a spa. A ballroom, the largest meeting venue in the Chaweng area, features can accommodate up to 250 people.
