Italian-Thai Development lands state contract to build the 16.2-kilometer Chatuchak-Lam Luk Ka extension of the Chalongrach Expressway

Italian-Thai Development (ITD), which has been facing liquidity issues, secured the state contract to build the 16.2-kilometer Chatuchak-Lam Luk Ka extension of the Chalongrach Expressway, according to Surachet Laophulsuk, Governor of the Expressway Authority of Thailand.

The project’s overall cost is estimated to be around 24 billion baht.

This includes approximately 20.3 billion baht for construction, which also covers the cost of a 64-rai service area for commercial purposes, and 3.7 billion baht for land acquisition.

In the bidding process, ITD proposed the lowest bid, which was approximately 30-40 million baht below the estimated construction cost framework for the extension of 18.7 billion baht.

The contract is expected to be signed in September, with construction slated to begin in November and completion projected for 2027.
