BCI CENTRAL CELEBRATES THE BEST IN THAILAND’S ARCHITECTURE, BUILDING AND DESIGN INDUSTRY

On Friday, November 17, 2023, the highly anticipated Annual BCI Asia Awards ceremony took place at Centara Grand Central Hotel in Bangkok. During this prestigious event, Thailand’s 10 most-active architecture firms and property developers were honoured with the esteemed BCI Top 10 Awards. It was a momentous occasion celebrating their exceptional contribution to the industry.
During the event ceremony, we were honourable from Ms. Pimphattra Wichaikul, The Ministry of Industry of Thailand to speech welcome address and Ms.Theeranuj Karnasuta Wongwaisayawan, Vice President of Professional Affairs of Thailand Interior Designers Association (TIDA), Managing Director at Interior Architects 49 (IA49) to speech on stage and even more honourable to bestowed the trophy to our winners.
The portfolios of the top developers are valued at USD 4.387 billion, while the portfolios of these elite architecture firms comprise USD 0.925 billion worth of properties scheduled to start construction in Thailand this year. These firms were chosen based on the greatest aggregate value of projects under construction during the last full calendar year, weighted by the extent of their sustainability efforts support growth to local economy and community. For architecture firms, pre-tender projects were included to recognise early incorporation of sustainable efforts.

The event also showcased regional winners and merit recipients of Asia’ leading Green design competition FuturArc Prize and BCI Asia Interior Design Awards. Details will be made available on FuturArc and Construction Plus platforms for each competition respectively in the coming months.
FuturArc Prize
FuturArc Prize (FAP) 2023, an international Green design competition for architecture professionals and students alike, was held from October 2022 to February 2023 with the theme of Cross-Generational Architecture. The theme explored the rapid change of societal compositions throughout Asia, asking entrants to envision sustainable design solutions for future generations amidst ongoing climate and planetary challenges.
The winners and merit recipients will be awarded at their respective countries across the BCI Asia Awards circuit with cash prizes, trophies, certificates and international publication on the FuturArc print magazine and online platforms.
BCI Asia Interior Design Awards
BCI Interior Design Awards (IDA) 2023 calls for Interior Design projects in the theme of Human-Centred Interiors, awarding projects that showcase well-designed spaces that empower users to reside, engage and enrich their lives joyfully and meaningfully. The awarded designs illustrate a deep understanding of the users’ psyche, behaviour, habits and preferences.
The winners and merit recipients will be awarded at their respective countries across the BCI Asia Awards circuit with cash prizes, trophies, certificates and international publication on the Construction+ print magazine and online platforms.
