The Sky Walk Condominium topping off ceremony.

Bangkok’s Sky Walk Condominium will feature a commercial helipad on its 50th floor, the first in Thailand at a condominium project.

Khun Wichai Poolworaluk, president of the project’s developer, W-Property, revealed the news at the topping off ceremony for the condominium project last week.

“Our development will lead air transportation trends in Bangkok, allowing businessmen or condo owners easy access to destinations nearby. This will help support the growing needs for business and leisure. The Helipad size is four times bigger than a normal Helipad. It has capacity to accommodate a 4,000kg helicopter such as the multi-purpose EC 145, and is the perfect platform to assist in emergency evacuations,” said Khun Wichai.

Sky Walk Condominium has 50 floors, comprises 531 units and is developed on 10 rai of land on Sukhumvit Road near the Phra Kanong BTS station. The project has been designed and built with earthquake resistance technologies in accordance with the Uniform building code standard.

“Our clients can be assured that our high condominiums – Le Luk (a 27 floor condominium built adjacent to Sky Walk and completed mid-2010) and Sky Walk Condominium – are designed to withstand an earthquake as we have built in accordance with the Uniform building code standard.”
Khun Wichai added.

To be completed by the end of 2011, Sky Walk Condominium will feature unique facilities like a large aquarium, man-made beach with panorama view, large water fall in the building, Sky Lobby on the 46th floor with views of the Chao Praya River, and a 46th floor skywalk where one can see directly down to the 11th floor.
