Things break, naturally over time or by accident. Gadgets like smartphones and laptops are especially prone to damage from drops, water spills or poor maintenance. When they break, where are good places to fix them in Bangkok? These are go-to spots recommended by the Bangkok Post’s tech writer to repair your precious gadgets in Thailand’s capital, with less chance of being ripped off.
1. Fortune Town
Ratchadaphisek Road (MRT Rama 9)
At Fortune Town IT Mall, phone repair counters and mobile-device shops concentrate on the second floor, where technicians handle everything from screen replacements to software troubleshooting. Computer diagnostics and hardware repairs are mainly on the third and fourth floors, where numerous computer stores also provide component upgrades. The mall offers repairs, spare parts and technical support for a wide range of devices, making it a reliable one-stop solution at competitive prices.
This mall is my favourite geeky mall simply because of dozens of repair shops, plenty of food outlets, game shops and computer accessory stores. It is also easily accessible from the MRT Blue line Rama 9 station.

2. MBK Center
Pathum Wan Intersection (BTS National Stadium)
Well-versed travellers know MBK for inexpensive souvenirs and clothing, but the fourth floor hosts numerous excellent repair shops. They are often cheaper than brand-authorised service centres.
Many shops offer quick, while-you-wait repairs, and nearby stalls sell spare parts, accessories and second-hand devices. MBK is a convenient, competitively priced option for fast, reliable gadget repairs in central Bangkok.

3. Zeer Rangsit
Phahonyothin Road (BTS Yæk Kor Por Aor – then take a bus)
Zeer Rangsit has long been a tech hub for computer and phone repairs, with entire floors of repair counters, parts dealers and second-hand gadget stores. Technicians there can handle everything from laptop motherboard fixes to cracked phone screens.
Prices are generally more competitive than central Bangkok. Many shops also offer same-day service—popular with students, office workers and tech enthusiasts from the northern suburbs.

Other alternatives are BaNANA, Advice or JIB shops. They are ususally located in major malls in Bangkok. They usually focus on selling computer parts and phones, but they can usually help with repairs too, at a little higher price than the ones listed above.
On a personal note, when I was 12, my first personal computer (PC) crashed after my cat sat on the keyboard and somehow brought down Windows 95.
I had to call the store to send a repairman, who fixed it the next day for 500 baht. This is proof that repairs can sometimes be cheaper and faster than replacing gear.
In a slow economy, fixing gadgets instead of buying new ones makes practical sense.
