SPET Monthly Members Meeting – “Case Study Shweli 3 Hydropower Project in Myanmar”

The AF-Consult presentation on Shweli 3 Hydropower Project will touch on consultancy services of large Hydropower Projects with RCC dams. This will include Feasibility, Design, Model Tests for River Diversion, Civil, HSS, E&M, RCC Technology and Mixes of Shweli 3 Project, and reference is made to other Project such Yeywa and UPL in Myanmar and Sonla and Lai Chau in Vietnam.
Christof Rohrer joined AF-Consult Switzerland Ltd. (formerly AF-Colenco Ltd) in 2002 after obtaining his MSc in Civil Engineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich. He was involved in the Son La, Lai Chau, Yeywa, and Ta Sang RCC dam design. He currently is the project manager and designer of the 103m high Upper Paunglaung RCC dam in Myanmar and the 120m high Shweli 3 RCC dam Project in Myanmar.
Entry fee is Baht 200 for Members of SPET and Baht 400 for all others.
The next SPET event is scheduled on 16th June 2016 and hopefully will be sponsored by Jardine Lloyd Thomson Limited; and is tentatively about Insurance Market approach to Major Civils Projects to given by Steve Boddington.
