Transport Minister Suriya Juangroongruangkit stated that construction has been suspended, and the contractor responsible faces a two-year bidding ban. He emphasized the need for stricter safety measures, including lowering contractor rankings for negligence, to prevent future incidents.

Suriya underscored that while delays are unavoidable, public safety remains the top priority.
