According to the Department of Bridges with the Ministry of Construction, the construction of the Chindwin Bridge (Htamathi), linking Homalin Township in Sagaing Region and Leshe in the Naga Self-Administered Zone, is 70 per cent completed.

The bridge, part of the Leshe- Pansat-Swamara road, spans the Chindwin River. It is a reinforced concrete structure measuring 801 metres (2,629 feet) in length and 9.4 metres (31 feet) in width, with a 40-foot clearance to allow vessels to pass underneath.

Once completed, the bridge is expected to significantly enhance education, healthcare, and economic opportunities for residents in Homalin District and the Naga Self-Administered Zone.
